Pope Joan lovers Help The Movie Release

Hello all! If you have read Pope Joan by Donna Woolfolk Cross then you probably know that they have have been working on the movie based on the book. Which I really want to watch since I loved the book so much. With out immediate support you may not see the movie in a theater near you. We all have the power to influence this by going here. I already did mine have you done yours?

"Here’s how. Put yourself on the map of Pope Joan fans and future movie-goers across the U.S. Add your friends -- or ask them to add themselves by forwarding this email.

Even better: in the message section, let the producers know if your vote represents multiple attendees. If your book group means to attend as a whole, say so. If you’ll bring a spouse, daughter, son, friend, wandering passerby, say so! If you think Pope Joan's story has appeal for U.S. audiences, say so! Say anything you think will help, for your words will go straight to the producer. (So please be tactful and upbeat.)"

  1. Neat post. I'd love to hear what you thought of the book. It's such an interesting subject. When I was a little girl I knew the author's father. He was a friend of my grandparents.

Did you know that in the late 18th and early 19th century there was a popular card game called "Pope Joan"?

  2. I loved the book it is really one of my favorites. Have you read it? I have a link in my side bar for my review if you would like to read it. Donna found my blog and offered me the book and I am still so happy that she did because I loved it so much. Plus we have become friends and she is such a wonderful person. I would defiantly "hang out" with her.

I did read about the card game on wikipedia, I wonder how it is played. I love card games but I can not play with the husband he beats me at everything!

  5. I seem to be drawn to controversy, before reading this book I had no idea Joan had even existed. Donna's novel made me love Joan, pope or not. I even now months after reading it still find myself thinking about Joan and what her life could have been like. By far one of the best books I have ever read.
