You are on FIRE mama! Phew - that's a HUGE haul! Goodwill has got the best used books! I never leave there empty handed.
ReplyDeleteI too am super excited about the CW Gortner and the debut of Christy English...they are both sooo nice!
Enjoy all of your books Lizzy!
It's like a sickness, isn't it??
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy The Kitchen Boy.
Wow! What a haul. You can find some good ones at Goodwill. I usually go once a month when they have their half price sale, although I missed this month. =O(
ReplyDeleteI see you got Widow of the South by Robert Hicks. He lives in Franklin, TN which is close to Nashville, where I live.
Here's my mailbox: http://thetruebookaddict.blogspot.com/2010/02/mailbox-monday-tuesday-tardiness.html
Wow, you hit the jackpot! I just loved Water for Elephants, Peony in Love, and Memoirs of a Geisha! Enjoy your new books.
ReplyDeleteThere are worse forms of greed.
ReplyDeleteOk first off.. the obligatory BAD LIZZY.. BAD BAD LIZZY..
ReplyDeleteThen..
Wooho check out that HAUL!
On my way over to your place for a tarot reading!
And The Royal Road to Fotheringhay was my fave Queen of Scots read. EVER.
THE BEST.
Plaidy is AWESOME.
I requested Kaplan's book but I think they forgot about me. Oh well! One less off my must review pile!
I really really really enjoyed Anna Elliott's book, I am not a King Arthur fan, so this was my first read and I really liked the way she wrote it. The second one coming out in May is alot longer, so I am looking forward to that.
Of course since I liked Anna's book so much I started collecting other Arthur stories after the fact but I h aven't read anything else yet (such as Miles').
Enjoy your pile, and I hope that they are all awesome!
That is so awesome :) You are going to love Girl With a Pearl Earring!
ReplyDeleteI know Amy I got the idea from you before I never took the time at goodwill but then I figured I must be missing something.
ReplyDeleteDaphne it is a sickness or disease that just will not go away. Good thing I found a bookshelf at goodwill for 5 buck or I would not have had anywhere to put them. I read the first page of Kitchen Boy and it is so short it will be an easy read to fit in for a quick read.
Michelle my goodwill suck no book sales and no "color tag sales" either. It makes me mad all books are 3.99 no matter what they are. Which I think is really dumb. My sister lives in Cookville TN, where ever that is I am not sure in relation to you but I know it is close to Nashville.
I know right Brooke it could be worse, at least it is a good kind of greed.
Marie tisk tisk I know I am so BAD! I am elated to hear you loved Road to Fotheringhay, I was not sure about it at first because no one has ever mentioned it. I am super confused on the Stuart Saga series...is Fotheringhay part of the Stuart Series? Amazon and Goodreads both have different books in the series and I am just unsure. I am trying to figure out how The Loves of Charles II fit into that.
Hum Kaplan's book is really small I think it is only like 200 pages. That is lame they jipped you.
HA I got Anna Elliott's book because of you! You said it was the best so I went for it. I know what you mean I have not read one book on Aurthur but have been slowly collecting ones that people have highly recommended to me.
Muse was that not a movie too? It has a unique story line which I have always been interested in.
Oh MY!
ReplyDeleteMemoirs of a Geisha was awesome!! Loved it. the movie did not do it justice.
Kitchen Boy is another good one.
Twilight of Avalon one of my favs from 2009. Love the the differnt retelling Elliott has done. Looking forward to #2 in the series.
I agree the movie did not do it justice but it was pretty. I found another copy at the same goodwill this one I could not pass up wither it is the UK edition and it is brand new, score for Lizzy.
ReplyDeleteI know I have yet to get to Twilight of Avalon. I hear so many good things about it.
