I came across this beautiful portrait of Anne Boleyn and I just had to share with everyone. This portrait comes from a exceptionally rare book by author Charles Knight titled "Old England: A Pictorial Museum" 1845. Queen Anne Boleyn, from a Painting by Holbein.
There are two sets available on Amazon one being a trashed version for $66.49. Or you could buy the nice set for a whopping $505.24 the details are as follows:
"2 volumes, folio (35 cm. tall), viii, 392 pp., 12 color plates including the pictorial title, numerous small illustrations in text, 385 pp., 12 color plates including the pictorial title, numerous small illustrations in text; later mottled paper covered boards with leather spines and corners now rubbed, armorial book plate of Francis. L. Hawks, general light age toning, most of the plates have age spotting but usually confined to margins, some also have light damp staining at margins or corners that in a few instances touch image, still overall a good copy."
Wow, just imagine having this.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Anne Boleyn one of the most fascinating women in history?
I defiantly agree, she is my absolute favorite. I think she was ahead of her time and just was too smart for her own good. Which got her into trouble because who could refuse a King like Henry VIII.
ReplyDeleteEspecially in the shape and form of Jonathan Rice Meyers!!

Awesome. I read so much on her that it's cool to see a portrait of her. She's definitely my favorite in history!
ReplyDeleteShe is so my favorite too! I think honestly if I ever stood where they executed her, I would cry for her because I love her so much. She moves me deep in my soul.
