We are facing tremendous, long-term challenges due to the climate crisis and our ongoing population expansion -- both of which pose severe threats to the survival of our natural world.I am committed to doing everything I can to fight this crisis and assist these organizations with writing letters, signing online petitions, donations, and by informing family and friends of what we can collectively do to make our planet a better, healthier place to live. This is amazing to me that not only is he a author but he is a true believer in humanitarian work and promoting philanthropy. Bravo C.W. my hat is off to you for your incredible stance on playing an active role in your community. Become active with C.W. and sign a E-petition to save the wolves in Yellowstone National park. It is not hard to sign online just fill out a form with your information and viola your done. Give yourself a voice and stand up for what you believe or else it might not be here for future generations to enjoy.
Thank you so very much, from the heart, Elizabeth, for your wonderful post on my causes. As you can imagine, the plight of our natural world is of deep concern for all of us, and, for me, far more important than any book! Your graciousness in bringing this issue to light has truly touched me; I'm so very grateful for the incredible feature here for THE LAST QUEEN and humbled by your enthusiasm and dedication to the historical fiction community. I hope all authors are so fortunate as to find themselves featured on Historically Obsessed.
ReplyDeleteDe todo corazon, gracias!
C.W. you have touched me so close to my heart. You are a very unique person with amazing qualities that I can admire and aspire to be like.
ReplyDeleteI too believe it is most important to stand up for what you believe in. You have to give yourself a voice in this world because no one else is going to do it for you. I think many problems with younger generations is that they do not know how to have a voice. The world is changing around us and it brought tears to my eyes when Obama became president because he gave me and others the chance to believe that we can change and we can make a difference if we try.
Hope for the future was nonexistent before.
My mother grew up in S.F. in the 60's and her and my father both stood up for what they believed in and I hope that I can follow in their footsteps and be bold enough to face anything in my way.
I love history because I learned at a young age that if we do not educate our selfs about the past then we are doomed to repeat it. Could you imagine another depression or worse another holocaust? Or what if we never stood up and fought for fair labor practices? There would be no medical insurance and no set wages and families would painfully struggle daily.
I enjoyed being able to work on this with you and look forward to the next time! You always have a home here.
