You sound like a very brave woman pat. Honestly I compare everything to Indian Jones where they had the nasty feast and it really puts things in prospective for me. It could be worse like monkey brains LOL. Glad you enjoyed the post Pat.Lizziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06610444517085989215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319886081447332049.post-13621070590288345702011-04-14T23:44:29.542-07:002011-04-14T23:44:29.542-07:00In my youth I would have tried everything. Today ...In my youth I would have tried everything. Today I would skip the first course, have the ham and deer from the main course, and enjoy dessert. The parrot, flamingo and ostrich don't sound too bad. Don't feel much like crunching dormice bones and spitting out feathers.<br /> Actually, I have eaten worse than what is on the menu, 3 years as a Peace Corps volunteer in a 3rd world country many years ago, saw to that. I will try almost anything once.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319886081447332049.post-4919333424891614742011-04-14T20:45:57.724-07:002011-04-14T20:45:57.724-07:00Audra, creepy good but made me appreciate my moder...Audra, creepy good but made me appreciate my modern selections LOL.Lizziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06610444517085989215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319886081447332049.post-33538115720412204832011-04-14T13:36:38.539-07:002011-04-14T13:36:38.539-07:00Wonderful guest post -- I love this kind of stuff,...Wonderful guest post -- I love this kind of stuff, even if my skin crawled a little reading some of the food options!Audrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07511122937603890352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319886081447332049.post-23797486542156291712011-04-14T13:33:00.104-07:002011-04-14T13:33:00.104-07:00Allison, yeah that one kind of grosses me out too....Allison, yeah that one kind of grosses me out too. What a fabulous guest post, Kate:) But I have to admit that although I am a taste-anything-kind of gal and a hearty meat eater...this Roman party menu would have me making up all kinds of excuses to not show up or maybe arriving late (..only for dessert!) I can't imagine eating flamingo- or parrot for that matter! The dates and figs, yes...and also rose petal dessert I would try though:) Loved this post:) Thanks!Lucy https://www.blogger.com/profile/13600064401395449845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319886081447332049.post-41670815172261427242011-04-13T06:59:13.684-07:002011-04-13T06:59:13.684-07:00Oh man, I don't know how you stayed on a diet ...Oh man, I don't know how you stayed on a diet writing about some of those foods.
