I am working on my grandmothers story her brother died in the war and my grandfather was not able to be a solider because he was a victim of violence. He got caught in between a gangster brawl and was indirectly shot in the arm. The crazy part is that he was in the military and had a desk job and while working that desk job he managed to be a ring leader in marching for the what is now established as workers unions.
